PSA
A PSA is a public service announcement which means that it is a poster or image about informing the public about a problem and trying to get a change. By doing the research for this project I learned that bullying happens a lot more than I had expected. It seems like it happens everywhere from just reading about it. My final product I felt looked good. I thought it looked ok on photoshop but on an actual poster it looks even better. The most difficult part of this project was the Noose trying to get all of the different words to make it work. I ran out of words to use and had to repeat a few more. I feel like my digital art skills have gotten better as a whole and If they don't wipe photoshop off the laptop next year then I may use it for other projects in other classes.

PSA Project
For my PSA Project I am thinking about doing one for bullying and taking a bunch of mean words and taking them and putting them into a typography of a noose with those words. I care about this because bullying happens and usually nobody stands up and it's just not right the way it is. I want to say that bullying kills and you can stop it by just saying nothing.

Typography
This is a picture of Gwyn, the Lord of Cinder, from Dark Souls. Dark Souls is one of my favorite games of all time so I chose to do a picture from it. The words in this picture are all either from the game itself or describing the game. Since it is a very deep game I had no trouble coming up with words to take up the space. I like the way it looks for a final project but all of the tiny little lines coming off of the lightning was so boring to do and I think that they could have looked better. It was worth the time I invested and I may finish off the body in my own time later. Next time I do a typography I will probably do a different picture from the same video game of it's sequel when it comes out later this year.

Portrait Project
I chose these two pictures because I feel that they came out the best once going through the photoshop filters. The first is of my friend at Fenway that I took a little while ago and the second is of Kyle that I took solely for this project.

iSit
These are my iSit silhouettes. I call it iSit because I was sitting in all three of them. I chose these poses because they are everyday poses. Doing homework and just sitting and relaxing. I highlighted the papers in the first because I was doing my homework and the camera just went off. I chose the jacket and shirt in the second because I liked the bright colors in the jacket and the shirt. I just did the shirt in the third because I wanted one that was simpler and looked more natural. While getting these photos I gave up for a bit and started doing my homework and the camera went off and I used that picture because I felt it had a look none of the others did. Other than that I felt like it turned out pretty good.

Filter Project Self Critique
This is my favorite filtered photo that I did. The original is on the bottom and I put it through a Dark Strokes filter. If I could change anything, I would give the shark a little bit more detail on the sides instead of just having them be extremely dark. The most enjoyable part of this project for me was the freedom of choosing whatever photo we wanted and changing it however we wanted. The most challenging thing was trying to find one that looked decent for each photo because with some photos they just don't do well with some filters. In the future I will probably only use the cutout and dark stroked ones because I found that they looked good on almost all of my photos. I feel like I am getting more familiar with Photoshop and may use some of the things I have learned so far with some other photos later in life.

Filter Post
The first two pictures are of a Sea Cow and I put it through a dark strokes filter. The second pair is of a walrus with a cutout filter on.
Pop-Art Critique
Critique of Brooke Dunn's Pop-Art
I think that you chose a great center for the pictures and they all work well with each other. All of the photos seem different but you could have made the contrast a bit higher on some of the photos. Overall it looks great though. It is a good picture for Pop-art also.

The Scream Wordle
Well since the Wordle.net wasn't working, these are the words I had originally wanted to put into the wordle: TheScream, EdvardMunch, Constrast, Sunset, Bridge, Bright, 1893, Horror, Sadness, Classic, Wavy, Famous, Loss, Background, Expression, Emotions.
Concentration Idea
My concentration is going to be on Acadia and the Sights I have seen there. I took a bunch of pictures over the summer and am going again this weekend so I will just add more pictures and pick the 25 I like the most.

Rule of Thirds
This picture is a picture that is using the Rule of Thirds so that the owls, which are the main subject of the picture, line up on the intersections so as to make the picture more interesting to the eye.

Depth Of Field
This picture is of a shallow depth of field because the foreground, the baseball, is in focus and the throwing in the background is blurred out. If the thrower was in focus that the baseball was blurry the photo would have had a high depth of field.

Pocket Portrait
I chose these Items because I always have them with me just in case. They are always with me. The cough drops are because I was sick recently. Phone and IPod because I keep them charged and on at all times. Pencil and sharpie are for school being prepared. Headphones go with IPod for music and such.
